Planithic (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Planithic mobile application and website (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Service. By using Planithic, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- When you register manually: username, email address, display name, and password (stored securely in hashed form).
- When you sign in using Google: your Google account name, email address, and profile picture, as provided by Google. We do not access or store your Google password.
App Usage Data
- Exam and syllabus selections
- Chapter completion progress
- Tasks, habits, habit streaks, and analytics
- Mock test results and performance history
Device Information
- Basic diagnostic information such as operating system version and app version to improve stability and fix issues
- We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain Planithic’s core features (syllabus tracking, tasks, habits, analytics, and mock tests)
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Sync data across sessions and devices
- Improve performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
- Respond to support requests and user feedback
3. Google Sign-In
Planithic uses Google’s official Sign-In services. We only receive the information you authorize Google to share (typically your name, email address, and profile photo). We do not access your Google contacts, files, calendar, or other Google services. Your use of Google Sign-In is governed by Google’s own Privacy Policy.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data
- Limited non-identifiable data may be shared with hosting and infrastructure providers solely to operate the Service
- Information may be disclosed if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users
5. Data Storage & Security
- Data is stored on secure servers
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- Authentication tokens are stored securely using encrypted storage
- All data transmission uses HTTPS
- While we follow industry-standard security practices, no system is 100% secure
6. Data Retention & Deletion
- Data is retained while your account is active
- You may permanently delete your account at any time from the My Profile section
- Account deletion removes all personal data, progress, tasks, habits, and analytics permanently
- This applies to both manual and Google-based accounts
7. Children’s Privacy
Planithic is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Update or correct your information
- Permanently delete your account and data
- Withdraw consent by discontinuing use of the Service
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page and within the app. Continued use of the Service after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
